Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Development Analyst 2 for a contract opportunity in Schriever AFB, CO.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience
o Must have an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level
o Self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment
o Strong, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel
o Familiarity with Agile software development practices
o Understanding of software development and Linux platforms
o Experience with C++ or Java source code
o Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar analysis software
o A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking a Software Development Analyst II to join our team in Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado. The qualified applicant will become part of Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) on the Warfighter Simulations and Services (WSS) Agile Release Train (ART). The WSS ART offers opportunities to support the U.S. Missile Defense System through the development of Modeling and Simulation applications used in warfighter training and exercises, concept evaluation, developmental engineering, testing and verification, and assessment.
Responsibilities:
The selected Software Development Analyst II will support the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST) product line of the DE Task Order on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC). This position requires an analyst to support the development of modeling and simulation of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) systems. This includes analyzing, benchmarking, validation and verification, documenting, and integrating simulation products for the MDST organization.
Primary responsibilities include:
o Researching technical details related to various missile defense systems to better support model creation and enhancement
o Analyzing new capabilities, documenting new features, and analyzing simulation performance
o Working with the product and development teams, as well as external users and customers to determine acceptance criteria for new feature
o Creating software tools to support analysis of MDST benchmarking, anchoring, and Verification and Validation activities
o Creating Verification and Validation documentation
o Supporting the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems
o Supporting agile software team within the context of a larger team
o Supporting the development of simulation and software architectures
o Interfacing with MDST customers to provide technical support and help resolving issues
o Presenting technical briefings to MDST stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Experience in modeling and simulation
o Experience with OPIR system simulations
o Experience in agile software development methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
o Knowledge/experience in SQL queries
o Experience with large code base M&S systems using an optimistic and/or conservative discrete event simulation platform
o Knowledge or experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, command and control, and modeling and simulation development
o Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, confluence, and GIT

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline is required.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
9/80 workweek. On-site.
