Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Engineer 2 for a contract opportunity in Plymouth, MN.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience.
o Working knowledge in one of the following languages: MATLAB or Python.
o Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
o Demonstrated ability to use basic manual tools.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
o Active Secret clearance.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking an experienced Test Engineer at our Missile Products Division in our Plymouth, MN location. The Test Engineer will have proven leadership abilities, experience with life cycle testing, data acquisition and analysis, instrumentation and familiarity with test facility capabilities. Responsibilities will include planning and execution of test program plans, interfacing with internal and external customers, analyzing results and test reporting. The successful candidate will be experienced with environmental, EMI/EMC and testing of energetic devices to ensure highly reliable, safe and efficient execution of planned test activities
Responsibilities:
o Prepare test plans, coordinate with test facilities, provide test execution oversight, analyze test data and prepare final test reports.
o Resolve test related technical issues and support failure and analysis activities.
o Develop test methods for climatic, vibration and mechanical shock, electromagnetic effects, bench testing of electronic devices, and safety and reliability testing.
o Develop data analysis methods including data compilation and correlation, markings, preparation of data summaries, and data archiving.
o Scheduling and cost management
o Define test instrumentation requirements.
o Support Systems engineering in review and development of storage and operational life cycle requirements.
o Support all aspects of testing, evaluation and validation of complete system and or subsystems.
o Support major program reviews such as SRR, SDR, SFR, PDR, CDR, SVR and other formal program reviews.
o With proper training must be willing to be in the presence of and handle hazardous devices.
o Ability to travel (up to 50%)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Experience with climatic, vibration, mechanical shock, Electromagnetic Effects (EME), and Insensitive Munitions (IM) Testing.
o Understanding of energetic testing, components and materials.
o Understanding of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-331, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-2105, JOTP-052 and JOTP-053 standards and guidelines.
o Familiarity of commercial and government test facilities for environmental and EME test activities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline is required.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 9/80 workweek. 1st shift.
