Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineering Aide for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

This position is 100% onsite.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
5+ years of experience in mechanical fabrication using CNC machines and lathes or maintenance of military design products.
5+ years of experience fabricating mechanical equipment from blueprints, schematics, and engineering guides.
5+ years of experience communicating technical issues both verbally and in writing with engineers and management.
5+ years of experience using Microsoft products and fabrication-related software tools.
Demonstrated ability to calculate metal stretch based on material type and bend radius.
Skilled in building test equipment using layout blueprints, schematics, bill of materials, and engineering guidelines.
Proactive and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Machine hardware and fixtures using CNCs and lathes according to engineering drawings.
Work with sheet metal to fabricate boxes and panels.
Assemble lower-level components into single or multi-bay cabinets for delivery to engineering or production.
Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, draftsmen, procurement, and quality personnel.
Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the fabrication process.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience programming CNCs using Catia-based software.
Experience acquiring and managing test materials.

Previous leadership experience is a plus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited HSD/GED

4/10A schedule
1st Shift
Minimum 40 hours/week with occasional overtime


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
