Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a contract opportunity in Ocala, FL.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This role supports manufacturing of circuit card assemblies, focusing on Plated Through Hole (PTH) processes. The engineer will help design and implement production layouts, optimize manufacturing workflows, and ensure process compliance with industry standards such as IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design manufacturing processes, layouts, and equipment arrangements for CCA/PTH production
Specify fabrication procedures and tooling requirements
Evaluate machine/tool performance and recommend improvements
Support component prep, wave solder, select solder, and AOI operations
Incorporate inspection/test requirements into production plans
Apply statistical process control techniques
Collaborate with engineering on design specs for manufacturability
Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):
At least 1 year of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a PTH environment
1+ year experience with CCA production processes
1+ year with component prep, wave/select soldering, and AOI
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards
EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's Degree

4/10 work shift
2nd Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
