Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Engineer for a contract opportunity in Ocala, FL.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to start

Support operation, calibration, and maintenance of Automated Test Equipment used for optical and electrical checks of production units

Conduct root cause failure analysis for units failing tests and recommend corrective actions

Implement corrective actions on test stations or recommend changes to manufacturing engineering

Perform testing in a production environment involving Power Electronics

Develop and execute Validation Test Plans and User Acceptance Testing

Collaborate with team members and support production requirements


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 5+ years of professional experience, or 3+ years with a related Master's degree

1-2 years of experience in Power Electronics

2-4 years of experience in a production environment

2-4 years of experience in electrical testing and user acceptance testing

1-2 years of experience in validation test plan development

1-2 years of experience working with test stations in a production environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Strong verbal and written communication skills


DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

Familiarity with lab equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, and power supplies

Experience troubleshooting test equipment using schematics and technical documentation

Team-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills


REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in a related discipline


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
