Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform production assembly operations on mechanical and electronic assemblies and subassemblies including modules, panels, boards, cables, drawers, and frames

Follow diagrams, engineering drawings, and work instructions for assembly tasks

Use hand and power tools, jigs, and saws to perform layout, assembly, and rework

Conduct continuity checks and functional testing on work in process and completed units

Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble experimental or prototype assemblies under simulated conditions as needed

May conduct in-line quality inspections per quality standards and procedures



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Minimum 2 years of experience in an assembler role within a manufacturing environment

Proficient with the use of hand tools

Ability to read, interpret, and work from mechanical engineering drawings


DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience in both electronic and mechanical subassembly production

Familiarity with quality inspection processes in a production line environment



REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent


WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
4/10 schedule 1st Shift (Monday through Thursday, 10-hour days)
1st work schedule


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
