Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inspector-Professional I (FAA) for a contract opportunity in College Park, GA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• FAA Repairman Certificate or A&P License required.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications
• Basic Computer Skills
• Knowledge of basic hand tools
• Knowledge of power tools, rivet guns, pneumatic tools.
• Mathematical aptitude required and ability to work with details.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations pertaining to a Repair Station.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; work from supplement sheets and complex drawings.
• Possess the capability to read and understand vendor specification manuals, CMMs, EAs, EOs, VAs, SB and all other applicable documentation.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The QA/QC Inspector reports to the Service Center General Manager and is responsible for various aspects of the inspection system and for all inspection procedures described in the repair station and quality manuals. QA/QC Inspectors should also be familiar with the policies and procedures outlined in all associated repair station manuals. Additionally, Quality Inspectors perform preliminary, in-process, and final inspection of aviation articles to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and customer expectations.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
• Assists the QA/QC Manager with other duties as may be assigned.
• Ensures that all technical data being used by the inspectors is current and to the latest revision.
• Ensures that all inspection devices are within the calibration date.
• Makes periodical checks of all measuring/inspection devices to insure they are in serviceable condition.
• Reviews all paperwork and records on components being inspected for completeness and proper annotations as required by company procedures.
• Ensures that no defective, unserviceable or un-airworthy parts are installed on any component or article by the repair shop.
• Ensures that all reworks and repairs are properly documented in accordance with company and FAA directives.
• Ensures inspection coverage is available to provide for continuous workflow.
• Oversees the proper tagging and identification of all components.
• Completes daily paperwork for job assignments, indicating materials used and amount of time involved.
• Assists the Quality Manager with the calibration program and technical documents management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
• FAA Repairman Certificate or A&P License required.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
Monday through Friday 07:00am-03:30pm
ADDITIONAL:
This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
