Chipton-Ross is seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Hazelwood, MO.
100% onsite
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Ability to obtain security clearance is required for this position.
o Experience with system requirements analysis, schematic design, and hardware/software integration.
o Experience or knowledge of RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553 communication standards, protocols and/or interfaces.
o Experience or knowledge of common military standards used in hardware design and testing (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1472, etc.).
o Experience with CAD and creating Electrical Schematics.
o Experience utilizing JIRA for project management activities like cost and schedule management, milestone, planning and execution of SOW.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Experience or knowledge of cyber security principals or cyber certifications.
o Experience or knowledge of network design.
o Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. DOORs, CAMEO, earned value management).
o Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
o Experience with product/systems development and integration.
o Technical system domain knowledge (e.g. air vehicle and/or weapons).
o CompTia Security + Certification.
Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification and typically 5 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Full-Time/First Shift
8:00 AM - 4:30 PMEmployment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
