Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Solder Assemblers for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

5+ years of soldering and rework experience with surface mount components

Skilled in IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 standards

Proficient with soldering equipment and inspection tools including AOI and AXI systems

Able to read and interpret complex assembly drawings

Comfortable working under a microscope for extended periods

Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity

Must be able to read and write English

Must pass a medical exam per supplier guidelines


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform advanced rework on circuit card assemblies, including BGA, QFN, high-density connectors, and complex SMT components

Solder through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) components, including fine pitch and high-density parts

Conduct inspections and troubleshoot assemblies under a microscope

Execute mechanical assembly tasks such as installing stand-offs and using adhesives

Develop rework procedures and collaborate with engineering teams

Maintain clean, organized, and safety-compliant workstations


DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

IPC certifications (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721)

Experience developing rework processes

Familiarity with automated inspection tools and soldering technologies

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited BS with 4-8 years or MS with 2-6 years of experience


WORK HOURS:
4/10 schedule
2nd shift (Mon-Thurs, 3:30 PM-2:00 AM EST)


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
