Chipton-Ross is seeking a Wire Cutter for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and operate simple machinery
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines
Basic computer skills and ability to operate label printing software
Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move around the production area
Ability to work in a team environment and follow established safety protocols
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including:
o Understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
o Ability to identify and interpret dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate wire cutting machinery to cut and strip electrical wires to specified lengths and configurations
Manually cut and strip wire to specified lengths and configurations
Set up and operate label printing equipment to produce labels for electrical assemblies
Inspect and verify the quality of cut wires and printed labels to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications
Package and prepare cut wires and labels for assembly and shipment
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 6S standards
Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with production team members to meet production deadlines and achieve quality goals
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
Familiarity with wire cutting and label printing equipment
Basic knowledge of electrical assemblies and wiring configurations
Certification in a related field, such as IPC
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED

Full-Time
4/10 work schedule
1st Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
