Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Propulsion Test Engineer 4's for a contract opportunity in Kennedy Space Center, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Previous experience loading hypergolic propellants or performing other test related operations on hypergol contaminated propellant systems.
- Previous experience leak checking spacecraft fluid systems.
- Previous experience developing procedures to leak check and perform functional testing of spacecraft hypergolic propellant systems.
- Previous experience operating high-pressure pneumatic equipment, including to pressurize flight hardware.
- Previous experience task leading technicians, QA team members, and other test engineers to execute testing.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities required to document and resolve non-conformances on both ground support equipment and flight hardware.
- 5+ years propulsion related fluids test engineering experience on spacecraft.
- Willing to work overtime and off shift operations, including 2nd and 3rd shift.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs test engineering activities, including detailed operating procedure authoring and execution on spacecraft propulsion systems to achieve test, verification, and vehicle production objectives.
- Hypergolic propellant servicing.
- Develops and executes steps to perform component removals, replacement, and re-test on systems that contain hypergolic propellants.
- Leak testing of spacecraft propulsion systems.
- Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Current Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Leak Test certification.
- Current SCAPE/SAR certification.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

WORK HOURS: MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.
PER CLIENT: Candidates who do not have the flexibility to work all shifts or variable shifts should not apply for this opportunity.

ADDITIONAL:
Full time, on-site support is desired, however remote work with up to 50% business travel, up to 3 weeks at a time can be accommodated for the right candidate.
Overtime is expected to support test operations.
This work assignment has been designated as "safety sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory preplacement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
