Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Cable Assemblers for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
High mechanical aptitude
Experience with cable harness and soldering assembly
Familiarity with IPC 610/620 standards
Ability to strip, crimp, and assemble copper and coax wire using hand tools
Ability to follow processes and read/understand print instructions
Experience with mechanical assembly and blueprint reading
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to read and write in English
Must pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies
Work from diagrams and drawings to assemble modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables
Conduct continuity checks and quality inspections
Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with IPC-WHMA-A-620
Familiarity with wire harness print reading
Experience in a production environment with mechanical and electrical components
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent
WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
2nd Shift
Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM EST
Overtime available on weekendsEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
