Chipton-Ross is seeking an AI Systems Architect 3 for a contract/remote opportunity.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
· Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience.
· Experience with implementation, testing and operation of fault-tolerant systems, their avionics, and software/hardware integration of spacecraft
· Working knowledge in one of the following languages: STOL
· Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
· This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
· Knowledgeable in spacecraft subsystem design, spacecraft testing, flight software best practices, and mission operations.
· Solid presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to either technical or nontechnical audiences is required.
· Experience in preparation of technical documents such as design notes and test procedures/reports.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for an AI Systems Architect 3 to support our Fault Management & System Autonomy (FMSA) department with Systems Engineering. As a member of the FMSA department you'll work in a fast-paced team environment to specify, design, implement and test the fault management & system autonomy elements of our spacecraft products. This position will serve Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) programs run out of our Dulles, VA and Gilbert, AZ sites, although this position can be performed remotely.
Responsibilities:
· Performing traditional Systems Engineering functions, including verification/validation planning, and system-level test development and execution in the context of vehicle fault management & system autonomy functionality.
· Developing and implementing test scripts in STOL to verify and validate Fault Management and System Autonomy Flight Software using flight-like simulations and flight hardware.
· Debugging tests, which may include assessment of flight software, fault management, ground software, flatsat/simulator or test script issues.
· Communicating project status to the FMSA Lead.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
· Familiarity with command and telemetry databases.
· Experience developing verification documentation.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 9/80 workweek. Remote position.
RMTEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
