This Wire Design position will support the Mobility & Surveillance (M&S) Division which includes products like P8, Tanker and USAF E7. This requisition is primarily in support of the P8, based in Tukwila, but there are opportunities to support other M&S programs.
As a member of the P8 Wiring Integrated Product Team (IPT) you will be working in a highly dynamic team environment. You will have the opportunity to integrate with the full production value stream, from Engineering to Shop Floor, to successfully execute both post-production modification and well as standard production to the E-7 aircraft.

This role involves developing, integrating and maintaining critical electrical cable/wire harness detail, assembly and installation designs. This includes integrating the functional system requirements into an efficient logical and physical wire harness architecture throughout the airplane. The primary focus in this role will be implementing the wire bundle specifications that align to the systems performance and design requirements. Considering such requirements as proper materials and parts selection based on electrical and environmental properties, functional separation based on systems safety and failure analysis, and efficient build processes, all while ensuring that Safety and Quality are the number 1 priority.
-Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
-Develops basic/complex statements of work, metrics, schedules, and budgets.
-Analyzes results and supports design reviews.

-Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
-Supports the development of statements of work.
-Assists in the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
-Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.
