Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking 10 Wiring Installation Engineers (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Tukwila, WA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ or more years' experience in aerospace systems or wiring
- Willing to travel domestically as needed
- Regular and predictable attendance is required

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Wire Design position will support the Mobility & Surveillance (M&S) Division which includes products like P8, Tanker and USAF E7. This requisition is primarily in support of the P8, based in Tukwila, but there are opportunities to support other M&S programs. As a member of the P8 Wiring Integrated Product Team (IPT) you will be working in a highly dynamic team environment. You will have the opportunity to integrate with the full production value stream, from Engineering to Shop Floor, to successfully execute both post-production modification and well as standard production to the P8 aircraft. Wiring is the integration point between the physical aircraft structure and the mission systems capability. As a result, the wiring team gets the opportunity to interface and integrate with almost every design IPT. This gives a great opportunity to experience and learn about the whole aircraft and its systems. This role involves developing, integrating and maintaining critical electrical cable/wire harness detail, assembly and installation designs. This includes integrating the functional system requirements into an efficient logical and physical wire harness architecture throughout the airplane. The primary focus in this role will be implementing the wire bundle specifications that align to the systems performance and design requirements. Considering such requirements as proper materials and parts selection based on electrical and environmental properties, functional separation based on systems safety and failure analysis, and efficient build processes, all while ensuring that Safety and Quality are the number 1 priority.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and -experience
- Bachelor's degree in electronic and/or electrical engineering
- 3+ years of experience in CATIA V5/ENOVIA/PDM
- Experience designing or supporting electrical wire harness installations
- Understanding of wire separation requirements and other EME considerations
- Basic ECAT experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
