Chipton-Ross is seeking a Facilities Engineer for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Minimum 4 years of experience in Construction Project Management
2 years of experience with AutoCAD
4 years of experience with Microsoft Project
Experience managing projects over $500,000 in scope
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use digital measuring devices
Previous experience with ICD-705 compliance
4 years of hands-on construction experience preferred
Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage facility improvement projects including renovations, expansions, and equipment installations
Develop comprehensive project plans, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with contractors and vendors
Gather and analyze data on facility specifications, regulatory requirements, and construction feasibility
Collaborate with architecture and engineering firms to establish design criteria and prepare layout drawings
Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facility acquisitions
Conduct regular safety inspections and implement safety protocols
Work with the Construction Engineering team to inspect construction and installation progress
Serve as the “face” of Facilities, representing department capabilities and fostering strong internal relationships
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Strong background in construction and facilities engineering
Experience working in secure or classified environments
Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st ShiftEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
