Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Inspectors for a 2nd shift contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Experience inspecting soldered and crimped cable assemblies using IPC-A-620 standards
Strong background in cable inspection within a manufacturing environment
Ability and willingness to perform assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas
Detail-oriented and proficient in interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, and work instructions
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interface effectively with assemblers, technicians, engineers, customers, and management
Proficient with personal computers
Must be able to read and write English
Must pass a medical screening and vision exam as outlined in the supplier guide

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform visual inspections of in-process and completed electronic and mechanical assemblies
Use various measuring devices to inspect for structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds
Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems
Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, and inspection instructions
Verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with blueprint reading and wire harness print interpretation
Familiarity with visual inspection techniques and quality control standards

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent

WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
2nd Shift
Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM EST
Overtime available on weekends

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
