Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an IT Engineer for a remote contract opportunity.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

US citizenship required Experience in application performance engineering including monitoring, testing, debugging, and diagnosing Strong communication skills and experience interfacing with customers on technical issues Experience troubleshooting performance of compute devices (Windows, Linux) and reviewing logs Experience troubleshooting complex networks and networking devices (firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches) Proven experience leading teams or projects with accountability for technical, schedule, and cost objectives Adaptability to changing priorities and environments Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or PowerShell Experience with IT capacity and performance analysis (compute/server, file storage, network) Experience working in Agile teams and using Agile methodologies Familiarity with tools such as ExtraHop, CA Performance Centre, CA Spectrum, LoadRunner, Splunk, SiteScope, Perfmon, Wireshark, Java profilers Experience administering or troubleshooting WebLogic, Apache, JBoss, or similar containers Experience troubleshooting J2EE and JVM tools (jps, jcmd, jstat, jmap)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide full-stack performance engineering support across multiple business units Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and application/service dependencies Develop performance requirements and appropriate tests Select tools and methodologies for performance testing Analyze performance implications of proposed architectures Advise architecture teams on performance optimization within constraints

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Enterprise IT infrastructure Experience supporting critical infrastructure, services, or applications

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education

4/10 work schedule RMT


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
