Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Machinists for a contract opportunity in Archbald, PA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Mechanically inclined with a strong aptitude for hands-on work
Ability to read and interpret operation sheets and blueprints
Understanding of thread types including coarse, fine, metric, and standard
Experience with stock cutting saws
Experience operating large Proceco wash stations
Experience performing burr bench work
High School Diploma required (no degree necessary)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and operate plain or universal milling machines (horizontal or vertical)
Perform machining operations including compound angles, contours, boring, helical and spiral milling, serrating, gear, spline, and keyway cutting
Select, mount, and align machine attachments and tooling
Plan sequence of operations, determine number of cuts, and set speeds, feeds, and depth of cut
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Perform standard shop computations and layout stock for machining
Monitor and verify quality using statistical process or other control procedures
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Familiarity with quality control and inspection processes
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent

4/10 work schedule
1st Shift
Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM ESTEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
