Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Welders for a contract opportunity in Archbald, PA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Experience in TIG and/or MIG welding on aluminum, steel, or stainless steel parts such as drawers and cabinets
Knowledge of basic metal groups including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
Proficient with hand tools (hammers, chisels, squares, straight edges) and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, scales)
Good knowledge of welding symbols
Ability to read prints and sketches and follow written and/or verbal instructions
High School Diploma required (no degree necessary)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform TIG and/or MIG welding and related fabrication processes on complex drawers, cabinets, and subassemblies
Set up and maintain welding equipment
Use fixtures or table setups with clamps or angle plates to produce correct shapes and dimensions
Perform welding in optimal sequence to minimize warpage and distortion
Clean and prepare parts for welding using wire brushing, shot blasting, and solvent cleaning
Straighten parts distorted by machining or welding
Clean, shot-blast, and apply metal flame spray
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience working to tight tolerances
Familiarity with metal preparation and finishing processes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent

4/10 work schedule
1st Shift
Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM ESTEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
