Chipton-Ross is seeking a Infrastructure Solution Architect Engineer for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 5 or more years leading technical teams
• In-depth knowledge of Cloud services and Infrastructure components, includes Virtualization, Storage, Networking, and deploying NIST compliant infrastructure
• Regular and predictable attendance is required
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you’ll contribute to a team responsible for the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments.Duties may include (but are not limited to):
• Interface effectively with multiple technical disciplines in a team environment
• Lead a team of engineers to execute the computing & data storage Infrastructure and Tools team scope of work
• Provides expertise, leadership and mentoring to the Infrastructure Team
• Works with the Infrastructure Manager to help transform the existing Test IT Infrastructure
• Planning, design, integration, security, optimization, monitoring, migration and modernization.
• Assists in implementing best practices to manage server room
• Leverages technical knowledge of infrastructure software and product security to maintain, improve, deploy and harden complex test infrastructure
• Plan and design hybrid infrastructure comprised of on-prem systems and cloud services.
• Lead the team to develop engineering documentation and processes to reduce waste and maximize repeatability
• Work in a hands-on lab environment with a variety of different types of test equipment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effectively interacting with stakeholders and team members
• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• CompTIA Network+ Certification, CCNA or CCNP
• Experience managing large server and IT systems
• Experience deploying automation tools, eg. Ansible
• Experience in mix Unix/Linux and Windows environment
• Experience with Python programing
• Experience with VMWare vSphere
• Experience managing projects across different lifecycles
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (e.g. Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience.) In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
WORK HOURS
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
