Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Systems Engineers (Level 4) for a contract opportunity in Kent, WA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Systems Engineering: must be able to view system as a whole, how interrelated parts connect and how interfaces (internal/external) operate.
• Developing estimates with ability to depict/describe rationale and budget/hours spread.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail (need to be able to challenge assumptions/assertions).
• Facilitation and proactive coordination.
• Strong Excel/Spreadsheet experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
• Work with Software Engineering Subject Matter Experts to collect basis of estimates for contract proposals.
• Review, revise and/or establish statement of work and scope as defined by contract language.
• Organize materials and facilitate discussion with senior manager for review of final estimates.
• Consult and support reviews with contracts and pricing concerning estimates.
• Coordinate activities and deliverables with Contract Proposal Lead daily to ensure team estimates are progressing to plan.
• Analyze and articulate the impact of changes in the software mission systems on cost, schedule, and engineering baselines.
• Assist in the maintenance of documentation and change record management to capture new proposal/change initiatives.


REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

Full-Time
1st shift 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

ADDITIONAL:
Secret Clearance is required

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
