Chipton-Ross is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for a contract opportunity in Byhalia, MS.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
5+ years of maintenance experience
Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo or Proteus)
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Desire to broaden knowledge and improve skill level
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs periodically (team or machine-assisted)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide maintenance support for all equipment in the Memphis Global Logistics Center
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and ensure timely completion
Monitor and address equipment issues proactively
Repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Build and rebuild machine assemblies
Initiate and manage work orders using CMMS
Document downtime, breakdowns, and alarms
Train less experienced technicians
Handle and troubleshoot robots and related equipment
Support energy management, conservation, and sustainability projects
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Complete all required training on time
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent
WORK HOURS:
5/40 work schedule
3rd Shift
Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM CSTEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
