Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Assemblers for contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position working with printed circuit boards Above average surface mount and fine pitch soldering skills Experience working to IPC-610 and IPC J-STD-001 requirements (certification preferred) Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods to perform inspection and solder repair Ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to identify and touch up solder defects such as poor wetting, voids, shorts, misaligned parts, tombstoning, and billboarded components Must be able to read instructions and identify standard SMT components Basic computer skills and ability to use multiple Windows-based programs Must be able to sit for long periods and focus on detailed tasks Must be able to read and write English Must pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guidePOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use microscope to verify part placement and perform post reflow inspection and touch-up Manually align parts before soldering Perform solder repair and touch-up on SMT components Support quality assurance by identifying and correcting soldering defects Work in a fast-paced environment with potential overtime Follow detailed work instructions and maintain high-quality standardsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment Strong leadership, mentoring, and training aptitudeREQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or EquivalentWORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule 2nd Shift Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM EST Overtime available on weekends Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
