Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Solder Assemblers for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

5+ years of experience in soldering and rework, with a focus on advanced techniques Experience with BGA reballing/replacement, QFN and leadless package rework, high-density connector repair, and SMT component replacement Proficiency in through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) soldering Experience working under a microscope for extended periods Ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings Strong attention to detail and fine motor skills Experience with soldering irons, reflow ovens, and soldering machines Familiarity with inspection tools including microscopes and X-ray machines IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 certification required Experience with AOI and AXI systems Strong computer skills and ability to use Windows-based programs Must be able to read and write English Must pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform advanced rework on circuit card assemblies Use microscopes to verify part placement and perform post-reflow inspection Identify and correct soldering defects Perform mechanical assembly including installation of stand-offs, spacers, and hardware Use adhesives, epoxies, and bonding agents as needed Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues Maintain a clean and organized workspace

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment Leadership, mentoring, and training aptitude

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent

WORK HOURS:

4/10 work schedule 2nd Shift Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM EST Overtime available on weekends


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
