Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Seattle, WA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• 1+ year of experience with electrical and electronic technologies
• 1+ year of experience in the use of computer aided design and simulation tools
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The electrical system lab capability in Seattle provides a dedicated, customizable test and evaluation space for many of client commercial and military derivative aircraft, supporting projects from early technology development stages to complex, emergent in-service issues. The selected candidate will support on-going lab testing as well as supporting definition and implementation of the future vision for the electrical system testing lab. The ideal candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills, good people and team building skills and be self-motivated. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
• Supports the development and verification of test methods
• Develops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan
• Implements solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact
• Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements
• Uses analytical tools to verify the design
• Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements
• Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
• Read electrical diagrams
• Troubleshoot electrical systems
• Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements
• Presents test results internally
• Archives data and reports
• Trains others
• Works under general direction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Experience with wire design
• Experience using electrical design tools including WCAD and Zuken E3
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule
• Experience with mechanical systems
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.) ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
WORK HOURS
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT,8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
