Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple PCB Rework Repair Specialists for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
5 years of experience in a similar role
IPC certification (IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-WHMA-A-620 preferred)
Experience with soldering/desoldering fine-pitch components on PCBs
Experience with surface mount and through-hole component rework
Ability to repair damaged traces, pads, and internal circuitry on PCBs
Experience with BGA rework using hot gas equipment
Ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings
Strong organizational and communication skills
Basic computer skills
Must be able to read and write English
Must pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform advanced rework and repair on printed circuit boards
Solder and desolder fine-pitch, SMT, and through-hole components
Repair damaged PCB features including traces, pads, and gold contacts
Use microscopes for inspection and verification of part placement and solder quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues
Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety and quality standards
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent
WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st Shift
Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST
Overtime available on weekendsEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
