Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Embedded Software Engineers for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Active Secret Clearance required to start
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
6+ years of experience working on flight software for guidance electronics in missile systems
Proficient in embedded programming using C/C++
Experience with VxWorks Real-Time Operating Systems
Experience with embedded I/O integration
Experience working in collaborative and agile environments
Familiarity with configuration management tools (GitLab), Agile tools (JIRA), and embedded Xilinx tools (Vivado/Vitis SDK)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain embedded flight software for missile guidance electronics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Integrate embedded I/O and support real-time system performance
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging
Support configuration management and documentation processes
Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with Xilinx Vivado/Vitis SDK
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools
Strong communication and collaboration skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline

WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
