Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Test Technicians for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Minimum 2–3 years of dedicated testing experience (not assembly with some testing)
Familiarity with basic circuit identification and troubleshooting
Understanding of electrical and electronic principles
Experience using multimeters and other measurement instruments
Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and test documentation
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform functional, performance, and environmental tests on electronic components and assemblies
Assist in developing test procedures, plans, and documentation
Operate and maintain lab/test equipment
Record and analyze test data to identify trends and issues
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams
Maintain detailed and accurate test records and reports
Follow safety and ESD protocols in the lab
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with automated test systems or scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB)
Exposure to PCB-level debugging and soldering/rework
Knowledge of product compliance testing (EMC, safety, thermal)
Familiarity with manufacturing test processes and test fixtures
Understanding of industry standards (IPC, ISO, MIL-STD, etc.)
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent
WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st ShiftEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
