- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Warehouse Assistant for a contract opportunity in Manassas, VA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
1–2 years of experience in shipping and receiving
Ability to read and write English
Experience using computer systems for tracking, logging, and reporting
Familiarity with packing/unpacking items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, and office supplies
Ability to verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials
Experience processing freight bills, packing sheets, and bills of lading
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Must pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties
Receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment
Use computer systems to log and verify shipments
Follow shipping practices, transportation routing, and schedules
Unpack and inspect items for accuracy and quality
Process documentation and route merchandise to destinations
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent
WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st Shift Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
