Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 for a contract opportunity in Bethpage, NY.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
High School diploma or equivalent.
Provide management support, boiler familiarity, understanding and working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and building alarm systems.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
Responsibilities:
o Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
o Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
o Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.
o Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
o Provide management support, boiler familiarity, understanding and working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and building alarm systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
College would be preferred, but not required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 9/80 workweek. 1st shift. 100% On-Site. Every other Friday off but OT may result in working off-Friday's or weekends as needed.


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
