Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Proficient in C++
Experience with FORTRAN and 6-Degree of Freedom simulation
Experience in aerospace applications
Final Secret Clearance required to start
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB and C++ models into 6-DOF Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS)
Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), trade studies, and kill chain assessments
Support Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) lab testing and performance verification
Participate in flight test prediction and post-flight data analysis
Support integration and testing of hardware/software in HWIL environments
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with rotary wing vehicle design and guidance/control law development
Proficient in MATLAB and/or Python
Experience with HWIL integration and testing
Familiarity with linear algebra, probability/statistics, Kalman filters, kinematics, and rotating coordinate systems
Willingness to travel occasionally for flight test support
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics

4/10 work schedule
1st Shift
Core hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM CSTEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
