Chipton-Ross is seeking a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist 2 for a contract opportunity in Lake Charles, LA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in supply chain management or a similar role.
• Professional certification such as APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or CSCA.
• Experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
• Proven experience in a supply chain role, preferably in the same industry.
• Strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret complex data, understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
• Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of industry- specific regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist who are responsible for the delivery and inspection of incoming material, central stores/warehousing of program and/or company-acquired material and packaging and shipping services. Provides packaging engineering support, special container design, packaging estimates and format quotes.It involves managing the movement, storage, and procurement of aircraft components, aerospace equipment, and sensitive materials essential for aircraft maintenance, manufacturing, or defense projects. The role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, security protocols, and quality control measures, often dealing with complex logistics for high-value or classified items. It also involves coordinating with various teams—engineering, manufacturing, security, and suppliers—to ensure that parts and materials are available when needed, minimizing downtime and supporting operational readiness. Working in this environment demands attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, all while supporting the overarching goal of ensuring safe, reliable, and timely delivery of aerospace systems and components.
• Ensures the retention of material and supplies for future use and in support of production and/or engineering.
• Responsible for the accountability and accuracy of physical records.
• Provides transportation of material and correspondence within the local business environment.
• Maintains functional records in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Manages, develops, or conducts delivery in accordance with established local business policies, procedures, and public law.
• Ensures accuracy of delivery information.
• Ensures: finished goods inventories, non-proprietary government property inventory, transportation, import/export requirements, and customer returns in conjunction with business area personnel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Military experience preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively.
• Knowledge of logistics, transportation, and inventory management.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time, 4/10 workweek, Monday – Thursday.


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
