Chipton-Ross is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer 4 for a contract opportunity in Seal Beach, CA.

100% onsite

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Ability to obtain security clearance is required for this position.
o 7+ years of experience in structural analysis.
o 7+ years of experience with structural analysis methods and repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques, damage tolerance methods used in maintenance programs).
o Willing to support a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule and the ability to work variable shifts, including weekends or overtime.
o Experience with Client aircraft models.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is hiring for Structural Analysis Engineers (Experienced or Senior) to support our Airframe Customer Support Engineering, located in Seal Beach, California.
As a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will leverage the extensive resources and deep technical knowledge of the Client enterprise while enjoying the agility and fast-paced environment of a smaller team. This role offers unique opportunities to collaborate globally, develop innovative solutions to complex structural challenges, and contribute to rapid aircraft repair processes-enabling the return of airplanes to service in as little as four hours. Ideal candidates will be driven, resourceful, and passionate about advancing fleet reliability and safety through cutting-edge structural analysis and repair methodologies.
Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior Structural Analysis Engineers.

Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Works under minimal direction.

o Performs detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance) to determine structural integrity (margins of safety), using classical techniques and Client tools. This analysis supports responses to customer inquiries, service bulletin development, failure investigation, regulatory agency coordination and to show compliance with regulatory requirements.
o Researches and prepares data to support definition of structural design requirements.
o Accounts for customer impact of solutions and provide temporary repair options when a permanent repair is not feasible.
o Reviews and approves structural analysis, supports airframe repairs, provides expertise to respond to customer inquiries, develops service bulletins, and investigates failures to maintain continued airworthiness/mission capability, service documents for compliance with applicable FAA Federal Aviation Regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Experience working transport category airplane certification or production/fleet support projects involving FAA approval.
o Masters of Science in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace engineering.
o Ability to work with diverse teams.
o Experience with teaching, mentoring, and leading teams

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Full-Time/First Shift
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
