Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross-functionally with industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, QA, and/or production planning
Experience with manufacturing processes including fabrication, assembly, machining, and electrical systems
Experience with sub-systems installation in one or more of the following: hydraulics, electrical, power, fuel, ECS, landing gear, avionics
Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvements
Experience with MRP systems, SAP, or other MES applications
Proficiency in Catia V5
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts
Drive adoption of new technologies and automation to improve efficiency and quality
Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions
Define operations procedures and build sequences
Evaluate equipment performance and initiate corrective actions
Develop statistical process control approaches and integrate data analytics for continuous improvement
Provide input to product design to optimize manufacturability

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline

WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
