- Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Sheet Metal Mechanics for a contract opportunity in Greenville, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Minimum 8 years of experience in aircraft structures/sheet metal work
Experience with flight control repair, thinner materials, or back shop fabrication
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Experience with part fabrication and general aviation repair
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair internal and external aircraft structures
Work in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations
Perform modifications and repairs on C-130 flight control systems
Work with thinner materials and precision sheet metal techniques
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Use company-provided tools
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Flight control repair or back shop fabrication experience
General aviation repair experience
Part fabrication experience
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent
WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st or 2nd Shift (assigned after training)
1st shift (5:30 AM – 4:00 PM) or 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 1:30 AM); shift assigned after training Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
