Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineering Design Checker for a hybrid contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6–8 years of experience, or 15–20 years of relevant experience
Active Secret Clearance required to start
5+ years of experience in Mechanical and/or Electronic Packaging Design and/or Design Checking
5+ years of experience with BOM verification, configuration management, and change request processes
8+ years of experience with ASME Y-series standards
Proficiency in Windchill
Expertise in tolerance analysis, GD&T, electro/mechanical design, and model checking
Experience with model-based definition
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform design and documentation checking for mechanical, electrical, and electronic packaging drawings and specifications
Ensure compliance with format, specification, completeness, accuracy, and design soundness
Validate fabrication, producibility, assembly, installation, and interface requirements
Conduct tolerance analysis and BOM verification
Review and process change requests and notifications
Support configuration management and data integrity
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design quality and compliance
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st Shift HYBEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
