Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Engineering Aides for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Must ahve the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
3+ years of experience in fabrication environments including cable and wire harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design products
Prior certification in solder and harness capability to MIL STD requirements
Experience fabricating electrical equipment from blueprints, schematics, and engineering guides
Experience communicating design or process issues to engineers and management
Experience using software tools and Microsoft Office products
Self-starter with ability to work independently

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Place and solder components on circuit cards and sub-assemblies
Fabricate wiring harnesses including connector pinning, de-pinning, and mounting hardware
Build lower-level assemblies into single or multi-bay cabinet assemblies
Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, draftsmen, procurement, and quality inspectors
Support engineering and manufacturing production areas
Perform tasks with minimal supervision

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
Experience in procurement and acquisition of test materials
Experience interpreting and building to Lockheed Martin Test Equipment engineering

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent

WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
