Chipton-Ross is seeking a Components Engineer for a Hybrid contract opportunity in Westford, MA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Must have an Interim Secret Clearance or an Active Secret Clearance Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology Experience in component engineering Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with BOM maintenance and change requests using PTC Windchill Experience with tolerance analysis, GD&T, and electro/mechanical design Experience with model-based definition Experience with ASME Y-series standards Must be able to read and write English Must pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide Interim Secret Clearance required to start

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research component termination styles, encapsulation, and construction processes Generate Vendor Identification Drawings, Source Control Drawings, and Altered Item Drawings Lead part standardization and selection Maintain engineering BOMs and process change notices in Windchill Develop and execute component qualification test plans Interface with customers regarding part changes and hardware impact Lead component failure investigations Review parts in Siemens Expedition Library for PMP approvals Mentor junior engineers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

6+ years experience with PTC Windchill and Siemens Expedition Cockpit 6+ years experience with RF component selection, part qualification, and failure analysis Knowledge of military and automotive electronics standards

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

WORK HOURS:

4/10 work schedule 1st Shift HYB


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
