POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Architect with deep expertise in multicore processor platforms, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and embedded software architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with partitioned operating systems, AMP/BMP multiprocessing models, embedded Linux, and containerized application environments. This role will lead the architectural design, evaluation, and optimization of multicore embedded systems, ensuring robust real-time performance and system reliability. The architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define system architecture, develop evaluation strategies, and guide implementation best practices.

o Architect and lead the design of multicore embedded software systems using Wind River Helix Virtualization Platform (HVP) with AMP/BMP multiprocessing models.
o Lead the evaluation and performance analysis of multicore processor platforms running real-time and containerized applications.
o Develop and implement architectural strategies for embedded hybrid Linux and containerized environments alongside safety-certifiable environments.
o Design and oversee test plans and benchmarks to evaluate multicore performance, real-time behavior, and system reliability.
o Analyze software and hardware interactions, identify bottlenecks, and recommend architectural and implementation optimizations.
o Utilize profiling, simulation, and debugging tools tailored for multicore RTOS with partitioned and containerized platforms.
o Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects to ensure alignment on system design and evaluation goals.
o Automate evaluation workflows and support continuous integration processes.
o Prepare and deliver architectural documentation, technical reports, and presentations to stakeholders.
o Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices for multicore software architecture, RTOS usage, partitioning, and containerization.
o Stay current with emerging technologies in multicore processing, real-time systems, Wind River HVP, and container orchestration.

Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
