Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 (two) Cable Assemblers for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Mechanical Assembly
Mechanical Aptitude
Tooling
Cable Harness
Candidates must be able to read/write English.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
WORK HOURS:
4/10-1st Shift.
Shift hours are Monday-Thursday 05:00AM-03:30 PM EST with OT avaialble on the weekends
Cable Pre-screening Questions
Are you familiar with or certified to IPC 620? Explain to me what it is?
Tell me about what type of contacts you have worked with?
What type of things do you look for when creating a connection?
Do you know how to solder? What type of connections have you soldered?
Have you ever had to work with tolerances? What does that mean to you?
Explain to me what a minimum and maximum length is.
Are you familiar with reading prints? What are things you look for on the prints?
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
