Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 (two) Cable Harness Assemblers for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• 4+ years of experience in cable harness assembly or a related field
• Strong understanding of cable harness assembly processes and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret detailed planning documents and manufacturing procedures
• Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment, such as crimpers and soldering irons
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
SKILLS MATRIX:
Cable Harness 2 - 4 Years
TIPC-A-610 2 - 4 Years
IPC-J-STD 2 - 4 Years
Read Engineering Schematics 2 - 4 Years
Soldering 2 - 4 Years
Stripping and Crimping Wires 2 - 4 Years
Space Standards < 1 Year
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assemble cable harnesses according to detailed planning documents (DWG and PL) and manufacturing procedures
• Perform tasks such as wire stripping, crimping, soldering, and potting
• Use specialized tools and equipment, such as crimpers, soldering irons, and potting equipment
• Follow strict quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure high-quality products
• Collaborate with quality control personnel to identify and resolve any issues or defects
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Previous Space Addendum Training Experience
• Experience working with Lockheed Martin or similar companies in the aerospace or defense industry
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin's quality control procedures and guidelines
• Certification in cable harness assembly or a related field
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and practices
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• The work will be performed in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to various chemicals, materials, and equipment
• The candidate must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
WORK HOURS:
4/10-1st Shift
• The work schedule will be Monday through Thursday, with optional overtimeEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
