Chipton-Ross is seeking a Technical Trainer/Developer/Designerfor a contract opportunity in Fort Worth, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in developing learning materials and using authoring tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to analyze learning needs and job/role/task performance.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• 7 years of experience performing training needs analyses.
• 5 years of experience developing course materials, including instructor guides and learner guides.
• 9 years of experience using Microsoft 365 products.
• 2 years of experience developing online training content using Adobe Articulate Storyline.
• 2 years of experience in the design and development of training program curricula consisting of at least two courses.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create effective and engaging learning content by designing and developing instructional materials based upon job/role/task performance. Partner with subject matter experts to identify learning needs, apply instructional design principles, create learning content, guide training implementation, and evaluate training results. Potential learning delivery settings include:
• Instructor led
• On-the-job training
• Online
• PC laboratory
• Self-study
Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop curricula. Communicate curriculum design to training administration for creation in the learning management system. Identify curricula target audiences and assign in the learning management system.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze learning needs and associated tasks.
• Identify knowledge gaps and determine the most appropriate learning solutions.
• Design and develop learning materials based upon instructionally sound learning objectives.
• Create engaging and effective learning solutions.
• Utilize the Instructional System Design model in all training activities.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts who possess expertise in specific fields to ensure accurate and relevant content.
• Create knowledge/skill checks to measure learner progress.
• Evaluate learning solution effectiveness by collecting and analyzing feedback immediately following training completion and three- to six-months following training.
The most essential aspects of this roles are:
• Course development – the instructional designer must have at least five years of experience in the development of classroom and self-study training course materials using Microsoft 365 products. Experience in the development of online training using Adobe Articulate Storyline is needed. Instructional designer must apply all phases of the ISD model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) in the development of learning solutions. Instructional designer must have created training content consisting of learning objectives, learning content supporting the learning objectives, and test items aligned with the learning objectives. Instructional designer must be able to identify the performance expected of the learner at conclusion of training and design and develop the training accordingly. Instructional designer must be able to identify and incorporate improvements into course materials following implementation. Instructional designer must be able to determine the most appropriate learning solution given the content to be implemented. Instructional designer must have strong project management skills.
• Curriculum design – the instructional designer must have at least two years of experience in the design and development of training program curricula. Instructional designer must be able to:
o Verify learning objective grouping into appropriate courses..
o Determine effective learning solution sequencing within a curriculum to enable employee expertise development.

o Determine learning solution timing requirements within each curriculum.

• Task analysis – the instructional designer must have at least two years of experience performing task analyses. Instructional designer must be able to translate task analysis data into learning content. Instructional designer must create training content based upon related desired task performance knowledge and skill. Instructional designer must be able to identify task conditions, standards, tools/equipment, elements or steps, and knowledge/skills and translate them into course materials.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED.

4/10

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
