Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Department Foreman for a contract opening in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all electrical department activities and schedules and supports heavy manufacturing operations in multiple fabrication shops and on the waterfront. The successful candidate will provide leadership, direction, and accountability to more than 1,000 employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of both new construction and repair projects.
Key Responsibilities
" Plan, organize, and direct electrical work for new construction and repair projects.
" Train, mentor, and evaluate employees to promote efficient and safe work practices.
" Manage employee scheduling, timekeeping, and performance reviews.
" Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical diagrams to determine materials and work sequences.
" Inspect work progress, equipment, and worksites to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
" Partner with purchasing to order parts, tools, and electrical materials.
" Provide onsite direction and leadership, ensuring work is completed within established guidelines and budgets.
" Attend meetings, identify conflicts, and implement solutions.
" Serve as a resource for crews, leaders, boat representatives, and senior management.
" Promote a positive company image with staff and customers.
" Maintain compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) policies and all organizational procedures.
" Directly supervise 20-35 employees.
" Interview, hire, and onboard new team members.
" Plan, assign, and delegate daily work activities.
" Conduct employee evaluations, reward strong performance, and administer discipline when required.
" Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
" Mentor employees and demonstrate leadership consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Client


DESIRED
" Prior shipyard or heavy manufacturing experience.
" 3+ years of management experience or equivalent education.
" Electrical apprenticeship or formal technical training.
" Journeyman or equivalent certification.
" Knowledge of ABS, USCG, NEC, and IEEE 45 standards.
" Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Time & Attendance systems.
" Strong math and analytical skills.
" Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive, professional attitude.


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
