Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 (three) System Integration, Verification and Validation Engineers (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Oklahoma City, OK.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Ability to collaborate with team members and create plans for executing on deliverables.
Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and leadership.
Doors, Verification compliance notice writing. Test planning.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
• Describe the project/day-to-day activities they will be working on:
Reviewing System set requirements in Doors
Reviewing Test Directives
Creating a Test philosophy to meet verification criteria
Coordinating Test Philosophy with the customer
Creating a data analysis plan
Reviewing lower level testing to determine Tier 1 testing requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in ICD development, logical architecture, requirements development, specification development, system functions and SSOW development.
Experience in Requirements Management and tools (i.e. IBM DOORs).
Experience in verification & validation of requirements.
Experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management.
Experience in systems integration and test including lab integration, ground test, and flight test.
Experience with mentoring and leading other engineers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (e.g. Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
