Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer for a hybrid contract opportunity in Littleton/Waterton, CO.
*Need to be onsite 3 days per week*BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Strong background in software development and integration. • Experience with IT, including system software, security software, and asset management. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline. • Must be a US citizen due to program requirements.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The selected candidate will join the Software Obsolescence team, and in that role, will contribute to analyzing and optimizing the Software Obsolescence Roadmap for the Orion program. The selected candidate will collaborate with key program stakeholders (Architects, Responsible Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Software Managers, and Tech Leads) to jointly identify software updates approaching End-of-Life (EOL) or End-of-Support (EOS) and proactively address Orion Software Obsolescence. The candidate will develop replacement plans and mitigation strategies to minimize business disruption. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze the program's Software Baseline Matrix and identify End-of-Life and End-of-Support plans for software items. • Identify opportunities to refine and maintain the Software Obsolescence Roadmap. • Develop and maintain a database and User Interface of Roadmap end items. • Develop and recommend strategies for cost avoidance with respect to obsolescence upgrades. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Knowledge of obsolescence management principles and practices. • Experience in human spaceflight. • Experience with relational database management. • Experience with Dev Ops.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline. **Education MUST be accredited** WORK HOURS: 4/10-1st Shift. ADDITIONAL: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance is required. HYB
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
