Chipton-Ross is seeking a Transportation Analyst 4 for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.
OnsiteBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Accredited Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. o Extensive Bus Shuttle Program experience. o Proven experience in transportation analysis, logistics, or a similar role, with a focus on optimization and service improvement (experience with shuttle/bus services is a plus). o Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, or similar). o Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights clearly. o Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Overview: We are seeking a skilled Transportation Analyst to join our team on a temporary contract basis. This role will focus on optimizing our transportation services and driving performance improvements. The Company Transportation Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing and improving the performance of our company shuttle and bus operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a focus on service optimization, and a commitment to enhancing employee transportation experiences. o Performance Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of shuttle/bus performance metrics, including ridership data, on-time performance, and service utilization rates to identify trends and areas for improvement. o Optimization Strategies: Develop and implement optimization strategies for shuttle/bus routes and schedules to enhance efficiency, reduce wait times, and improve overall service quality. o Service Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute service improvement initiatives based on data-driven insights, employee feedback, and industry best practices. o Cost Analysis: Evaluate operational costs associated with shuttle/bus services and recommend cost-effective solutions that maintain or enhance service quality. o Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations that summarize findings, performance metrics, and recommendations for management and stakeholders. o Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with transportation providers, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment on service goals and to address any operational challenges. o Employee Engagement: Actively solicit and analyze employee feedback regarding shuttle/bus services to inform continuous improvement efforts and enhance user satisfaction. o Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in the development and refinement of transportation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and service standards. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards is preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: o Closed toed shoes o Safety goggles
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. WORK HOURS: MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.
