Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Touch-Up Operators for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in printed circuit board assembly
  • Must have above average surface mount and fine pitch soldering skills
  • Must have experience working to IPC-610 and IPC
  • J-STD-001 requirements (IPC certification preferred)
  • Must be able to work under a microscope for extended periods
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex assembly drawings
  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must have basic computer skills and ability to use
  • Windows-based programs
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide

    • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use microscope to verify part placement and perform post reflow inspection and touch-up
  • Identify and correct solder defects including poor wetting, voids, shorts, misaligned parts, tombstoning, and billboarded components
  • Read instructions and identify standard SMT components
  • Perform solder repair and touch-up on printed circuit boards
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with potential overtime
  • Sit for long periods and focus on detailed tasks

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and training aptitude

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent

    • WORK HOURS:

  • 4/10 work schedule
  • 2nd Shift
  • Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM EST
  • Overtime available on weekends


    • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
