Chipton-Ross is seeking a Design Engineer 2 for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of experience.
  • Experience with design, drafting, and release of mechanical parts utilizing Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5-2009.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain DoD security clearance.

    • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Looking for an Engineering Designer to support our Electronics Packaging department. As a member of the Electronics Packaging group, you'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers to make our technologies a reality. Responsibilities:
  • Support the modeling, drafting, and release of new or existing mechanical parts and assemblies related to launch vehicle avionics using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.
  • Support the modeling and drafting of electrical printed wiring assemblies (PWA's).
  • Communicate project status to Responsible Engineers.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on the design of various system components.
  • Compile digital product definition packages for final release per ASME Y14.41 - Digital Product Definition Data Practices using Siemens NX PMI and Teamcenter.

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with design and drafting using PMI (digital product definitions) in Siemens NX.
  • Experience drafting electrical assemblies (PWA's).
  • Familiarity with the design of Avionics for use in flight vehicles.
  • ASME GDTP Certification Preferred.

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's degree in in STEM discipline is required. School must be accredited. HOURS: 9/80 workweek. On-site position.

    ADDITIONAL:

    Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
