Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Equipment & Tool Engineers (Level 2) for a contract opportunity in Auburn, WA.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Electrical/Controls focused position will support exciting new endeavors in the Fabrication Division.This is an equipment development, implementation, and improvement role. This role involves reviewing electrical schematics, control panel designs, and troubleshooting technical issues. Additionally, the role requires project management, testing, and commissioning of automated system acquisition and modification projects. Duties may include (but are not limited to):- Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System.
- Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design, usability, and rate estimates.
- Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and release bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers.
- Troubleshoot current production issues related to quality, safety, and repeatability.
- Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware and documentation.
- Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- 2 or more years of project management experience supporting complex technical projects, evaluating/selecting equipment solutions, and assessing electrical system requirements
- 1 or more years of experience with programming languages such as Java and SQL
- 1 or more years of experience working to industry standards related to electrical system design
- Experience in Automation and robotics
- Ability to learn in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across diverse teams
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Long hours on feet.
- Ability to be on manufacturing floor wearing steel toed shoes
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Electrical Engineering Degree preferred, WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
